The luminaire emits a pleasant, glare-free light. The basis for this is provided by Poul Henningsen's reflective three-shade system, through which most of the light is directed downwards. In addition, the luminaire emits the light to the side and illuminates itself at the same time, so that a soft glow of light is created in the centre of the luminaire.
